Action Tax Services was established in 2014 by Owning Director Stacey Cresswell. After relocating the business from Emerald to Moranbah in 2016, the firm has continued to grow, proudly expanding with the opening of our Cannonvale office in 2025. Today, we are committed to delivering professional accounting, taxation and business advisory services to clients across the Isaac and Whitsunday regions and beyond.

With over 20 years of experience in public practice, we provide expert advice, personalised service and ongoing support to individuals, families, primary producers, Mining Sector’s and businesses of all sizes. As a growing boutique accounting firm, we work with a diverse range of clients and offer comprehensive accounting, taxation and bookkeeping services, including GST, BAS, IAS, STP, Payroll, FBT, TPAR, Superannuation compliance & More.

STACEY CRESSWELL
TAXATION ACCOUNTANT (B.ACC, MIPA AFA)
OWNING DIRECTOR

Stacey Cresswell is the Founder and Owning Director of Action Tax Services. She holds a Bachelor of Accounting from CQUniversity and is a Member of the Institute of Public Accountants, an Associate Financial Accountant and a Registered Tax Agent with the Tax Practitioners Board. Stacey also holds a Professional Practice Certificate and is a member of the National Tax & Accountants' Association (NTAA). In addition, she is a QuickBooks Elite ProAdvisor and a Xero Silver Partner, enabling her to provide clients with expert advice on leading cloud accounting solutions.

With over 22 years of public practice experience, Stacey founded Action Tax Services in 2014 after building her career with larger accounting firms. Under her leadership, the business has grown from a single office to proudly serving clients from both Moranbah and Cannonvale, providing trusted accounting, taxation and business advisory services.

Stacey is passionate about supporting regional communities and helping individuals and businesses achieve their financial goals through practical advice and personalised service.

Outside of work, Stacey enjoys spending time with her husband, Stephen, and their two children, Bella and William. She also loves camping, fishing, travelling and making the most of family time.

KATE WOOLSTON
ACCOUNTANT (B.Com, GradDipCom, AIPA, IFA)

Kate graduated from the University of Auckland in 2009 with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Graduate Diploma, majoring in Accounting, Commercial Law and Management. She is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Public Accountants and brings over 16 years of public practice experience gained across both New Zealand and Australia.

Since joining Action Tax Services in 2018, Kate has worked closely with individuals and businesses across a diverse range of industries. Based in our Cannonvale office, she is passionate about building strong, long-term client relationships and providing practical accounting and taxation advice that helps clients achieve their business and financial goals with confidence.

Outside of work, Kate enjoys spending quality time with her husband and three children, travelling, camping, cheering on the footy and making the most of Queensland's beautiful beaches.

TANYA ALLEY
ACCOUNTANT (Cert.Acc/Bkp, ASA)

Tanya is an Associate CPA Member and a registered Tax and BAS Agent with the Tax Practitioners Board, bringing over 22 years of experience in public practice. Since joining Action Tax Services in 2020, Tanya has built strong relationships with her clients by providing reliable, practical advice and personalised accounting and taxation solutions.

After spending five years living in Moranbah, Tanya recently returned to her hometown of Cordalba, near Childers, Queensland, where she is raising her daughter. Working remotely, Tanya continues to provide the same high level of service and ongoing support to her valued clients, demonstrating that distance is no barrier to exceptional client care.

Outside of work, Tanya enjoys spending quality time with her daughter, whether it's movie nights, swimming in the pool or heading away together for a relaxing weekend getaway.

KRYSTAL TURNBULL
ACCOUNTANT (B.Acc)

Krystal graduated from CQUniversity with a Bachelor of Accounting in 2010 and has over 18 years of experience in public practice. Her broad accounting background, combined with valuable experience in the mining sector, enables her to provide practical, client-focused advice across a wide range of industries.

After graduating, Krystal relocated to Emerald, where she worked in the mining industry before welcoming her son, Toby, in 2016. She joined the Action Tax Services team in 2020 and enjoys helping individuals and businesses navigate their accounting and taxation needs with confidence.

Outside of the office, Krystal enjoys spending quality time with her family and two dachshunds, attending the horse races and cheering on her favorite footy team.

Katrina Krause
Accountant (BComm (Acc), CA)

Katrina graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) in 2013 and has over 10 years of experience in public practice. She became a Chartered Accountant in 2021 and has developed extensive expertise in providing taxation, accounting and business advisory services to a diverse range of clients.

After relocating to Moranbah in 2023 with her family, Katrina joined the Action Tax Services team in 2026. She is passionate about building strong client relationships and delivering practical, tailored advice to help individuals and businesses achieve their financial goals.

Outside of work, Katrina enjoys spending quality time with her husband and three boys, reading and relaxing with a good jigsaw puzzle.

MEGAN Oldfield
Practice Manager & Senior Administration Coordinator

Megan joined Action Tax Services in 2020 and brings over 23 years of administration experience across the education, civil and mining sectors. Her extensive background, combined with her strong organisational skills and commitment to exceptional client service, makes her an integral part of the Action Tax Services team.

After relocating from Blackwater, Megan has proudly called Moranbah home since 2018, where she lives with her partner and their four children.

As Practice Manager, Megan plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the firm, ensuring our office runs smoothly while delivering a welcoming and professional experience for every client.

Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending quality time with her family, camping, travelling and a little retail therapy.

GRACE FRY
BOOKKEEPER

Grace brings many years of bookkeeping experience to Action Tax Services, with a strong background gained through working with local trade businesses and the not-for-profit sector. Since joining the team in 2017, she has become a valued member of the firm, providing reliable bookkeeping support and exceptional service to our clients.

In 2020, Grace relocated to the beautiful Capricorn Coast and now works remotely, continuing to support clients and the Action Tax Services team with the same dedication and professionalism.

Having called Moranbah home for more than 30 years, Grace and her husband have many fond memories of the local community and remain passionate about supporting regional businesses and clients.

Outside of work, Grace enjoys a great cup of coffee, relaxing walks along the beach and spending quality time with her family.

Kristy Brady
Bookkeeper/Junior Accountant

Kristy joined Action Tax Services in 2021, bringing with her over 26 years of experience in administration, bookkeeping and accounting support. Her career began straight after finishing school when she accepted an administration role with a small accounting firm, where she quickly discovered her passion for bookkeeping and the accounting profession.

Originally from Goondiwindi, Kristy relocated to Moranbah in 2018 with her husband and their two children. Throughout her career, she has worked with accounting firms in Goondiwindi and Longreach, as well as supporting a variety of small businesses with their bookkeeping and financial administration. As a Junior Accountant and Bookkeeper at Action Tax Services, Kristy enjoys assisting clients with their day-to-day accounting needs while continuing to expand her knowledge and expertise within the profession.

Outside of work, Kristy enjoys spending quality time with her family, cross-stitching, reading and dreaming of one day owning a home with an ocean view.

Katie Tatterson
Bookkeeper

Katie joined Action Tax Services in January 2023 after returning to Moranbah with her daughter, Sophie. Originally moving to Queensland in 2000, Katie has built a diverse career spanning primary production, the mining industry and sales, giving her a practical understanding of the industries that are central to many of our clients.

Currently studying bookkeeping and accounting, Katie is working towards becoming a Registered BAS Agent. She is passionate about expanding her knowledge and enjoys supporting clients with their bookkeeping and day-to-day business needs while continuing to develop her skills within the accounting profession.

Outside of work, Katie has a passion for horses and dogs and enjoys spending as much quality time as possible with her daughter and their animals.

Sue-Maree Ivan-Fish
Bookkeeper/Junior Accountant/AML Compliance Officer (AssocDipBusAcctg)

Sue joined Action Tax Services in November 2023, bringing with her a wealth of administrative and business experience gained over more than 25 years in the property development industry, where she held the role of Sales Administration Manager. Her strong organisational skills, attention to detail and client-focused approach make her a valued member of the team.

After relocating from Brisbane to Moranbah with her husband and daughter, Sue has embraced the opportunity to return to the accounting profession. Holding an Associate Diploma of Business (Accounting), she is continuing to expand her knowledge through further study while supporting clients in her roles as Bookkeeper, Junior Accountant and AML Compliance Officer.

Sue enjoys working closely with clients and the team to ensure compliance requirements are met while providing accurate bookkeeping and accounting support.

Outside of work, Sue enjoys spending quality time with her family, gardening, strength training and the occasional retail therapy shopping trip.

Andrea Williams
Bookkeeper

Based in our Cannonvale office, Andrea brings over 40 years of experience in finance and bookkeeping to Action Tax Services. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively in accounts administration and finance roles, with expertise in accounts payable and receivable, end-to-end payroll, bank reconciliations and end-of-year reporting. Her practical knowledge, attention to detail and client-focused approach enable her to provide valuable support to businesses, helping improve cash flow, maintain accurate financial records and meet their compliance obligations.

After relocating from Tasmania to Queensland with her husband, Andrea has embraced life in the Whitsundays and enjoys supporting clients throughout the region while exploring everything the Whitsunday community has to offer. She also treasures spending quality time with her three children and two grandchildren.

Andrea has a passion for bookkeeping and particularly enjoys working with Xero and the satisfaction that comes from balancing a bank reconciliation. Outside of work, nothing brings her more joy than creating special memories with her grandchildren, who are truly the apple of their grandparents' eyes.

Leesa Aspinall
Office Administration

Leesa joined Action Tax Services in 2026, bringing with her over 20 years of administration experience across a variety of industries. Her strong organisational skills, friendly nature and commitment to providing exceptional client service make her a valued member of our team and one of the welcoming faces of the practice.

Having relocated throughout Australia with her husband's career in underground mining, Leesa has experienced life in many regional communities. She has proudly called Moranbah home for more than seven years, with Mudgee, New South Wales, remaining one of her favourite places she has lived.

Outside of work, Leesa enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, sharing plenty of laughs and unwinding with a glass of wine.
