Action Tax Services was established in 2014 by Owning Director Stacey Cresswell and relocated the business from Emerald to Moranbah in 2016. With over 17 years’ experience in Public Practice, we offer great service, advise & ongoing support for our business & Individual clients. As a growing small-sized firm we proudly work with different types of Entities & Individuals and can assist with all your Accounting & Bookkeeping needs including GST, BAS, IAS, STP, Employee wages, FBT, TPAR & Superannuation Compliance.

We specialise in Financial Statements & Tax Returns for Individuals, Business, Partnerships, Companies & Trusts including Mining, Primary Production, Rental Properties, Share Trading & Investments and ensure to maximise your refunds, strategise to lower your tax and help you achieve your financial & taxation reporting obligations whilst reaching your personal & business goals. We understand Primary Production, Small local business’s & the mining industry and we are constantly adapting to the changing needs in the industry and changes in the tax legislation to bring our clients an exceptional service.

STACEY CRESSWELL
TAXATION ACCOUNTANT (B.ACC, ASA)
OWNING DIRECTOR

Stacey Cresswell is the Owning Director of Action Tax Services and has a Bachelor of Accounting with CQU, is an Assoicate of CPA Australia & is a Registered Tax Agent with the Tax Practitioners Board. Stacey is also a member of the National Tax & Accountants Association Ltd, is a QuickBooks Elite Professional Partner & a Silver Professional Partner with Xero. Stacey has over 17 years of accounting experience in Public Practice and after working in large accounting firms, decided to start Action Tax Services in 2014. Stacey & her family now call Moranbah home after her Husband was relocated for work from Emerald in January 2016.

Stacey has two children Bella & William and she loves spending time with family, camping ,fishing & watching a good TV show.

KATE WOOLSTON
ACCOUNTANT (B.Com, GradDipCom, AIPA, IFA)

Kate graduated from The University of Auckland in 2009 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree & a Graduate Diploma majoring in Accounting, Commercial Law & Management. She is also an Associate member of The Institute of Public Accountants.

Kate has over 13 years' experience working in Public Practice in both New Zealand and Australia. She joined Action Tax Services in 2018 & enjoys working with clients across a range of industries & has a passion for building relationships with clients in order to help them achieve their business and financial goals.

Kate enjoys spending time with her husband & three young children, travelling, camping, weekend footy & the beach.

TANYA ALLEY
ACCOUNTANT (Cert.Acc/Bkp)

Tanya is an Associate CPA Member & a registered BAS Agent with the Tax Practitioners Board with over 19 years’ experience in Public Practice. Tanya joined the team at Action Tax Services in 2020.

Tanya lived in Cordalba which is a small town 10mins from Childers Qld for 12 years, but just recently relocated to Moranbah where she raises her daughter & is now enjoying our Moranbah Community.

Tanya loves spending time with her daughter and enjoy having movie nights, swimming in the pool & going away for quick weekend trip with her daughter.

KRYSTAL TURNBULL
ACCOUNTANT (B.Acc)

Krystal graduated from CQU with a Bachelor of Accounting in 2010 & has over 15 years’ experience in public practice. Krystal relocated to Emerald & commenced work in the mining sector until the arrival of her son Toby in 2016. Krystal joined the Action Tax Services team in 2020.

Krystal loves spending time with her family and two dachshunds, attending the horse races and watching the footy.

Rebecca Mayers
Junior Accountant (DipBus, B.Acc)

Rebecca graduated with a Diploma in Business & A Bachelor of Accounting with Open Polytechnic and has vast experience in Accounting Assistant/Finance Manager roles before joining the Action Tax Services Team in June 2024.

Rebecca moved to Australia at the start of 2024 from New Zealand with her husband and four children and now calls Dysart Home.

In her spare time Rebecca enjoys sports, Puzzles and spending time with family.

GRACE FRY
BOOKKEEPER

Grace has many years of bookkeeping experience, having worked for local trade businesses and the not-for-profit sector before joining Action Tax Services in 2017.

Working remotely since relocating to the surf and sand of the Capricorn Coast in 2020, Grace has maintained her role with the Action Tax Services Team.

Grace and her husband resided in Moranbah for 30 years and have many fond memories of the community, people and events.
Grace enjoys good coffee and in her time away from work, enjoys walks on the beach and spending time with family.

Kristy Brady
Bookkeeper

Kristy moved to Moranbah in 2018 from Goondiwindi, with her husband and 2 children. Kristy joined the Action Tax Services team in 2021 and brings with her over 25 years’ experience in Administration and Bookkeeping. Upon finishing school Kristy took up an administration role in a small accounting firm and her passion grew from there.

Kristy has worked for accounting firms in Goondiwindi and Longreach and has taken her passion for bookkeeping into assisting the running of small businesses over the years.

Kristy enjoys spending time with her family, cross-stitch and reading and would love to one day own a view overlooking the ocean.

Katie Tatterson
Bookkeeper

Katie has recently moved back to Moranbah with her daughter Sophie from Clermont. Katie moved to QLD in 2000 and has had a rich career in all aspects of primary production as well as, mining and sales.

Katie is currently studying bookkeeping and accounting so she can become a Registered BAS Agent afer joining the Action Tax Services Team in January 2023.

She has a passion for all things horses and dogs and enjoys spending as much of her down time as possible with her daughter and animals.

Sue-Maree Ivan-Fish
Bookkeeper

Sue relocated to Moranbah 6 years ago from Brisbane, with her husband and daughter. Sue joined the Action Tax Services team in November 2023 and brings with her a wealth of knowledge/ experience in Administration roles. For the past 25 years Sue has worked within Property Development as a Sales Administration Manager.

Sue obtained her Associate Diploma of Business (Accounting) after leaving school and is planning on undertaking further studies as she returns into the accounting field of work.

Sue enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and strength training along with the occasional retail therapy shopping trips.

MEGAN Oldfield
OFFICE MANAGER & SENIOR ADMINISTRATION

Megan has resided in Moranbah since 2018 after relocating from Blackwater with her partner & 4 children.

Megan has over 20 years’ experience in Administration working with Education QLD & the Civil & Mining Sectors before coming to Action Tax Services in 2020.

Megan enjoys spending time with her family, camping & retail therapy.

Sharna Carey
Administration Assistant

Sharna has over 12 months legal administration experience on the Gold Coast prior to moving to Moranbah with her partner and enjoying a quieter lifestyle.

Sharna commenced working with Action Tax Servies in July 2024 and has always had a strong interest in bookkeeping and accounting. She is currently completing her cert IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting.

Sharna enjoys spending her time with her family and friends while being outdoors with her horses every chance she gets.

Kerryan Jones
Administration Assistant

Kerryan has lived in Moranbah for 2 years after moving from Hervey Bay with her Partner and 3 children.

Kerryan is new to administration work but is enthusiastic to grow her experience and is excited for a new challenge.

Kerryan enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, and catching up with friends and family.
